The Dark Woods

A forest unlike any other. Here the trees are ancient, so tall they are rumored to have been there since the dawn of time. They are so tall and massive the canopy blocks nearly all sunlight making it seem like nighttime nearly all the time. Within, the bravest of men find their courage fading, and the noises from within seem more wild and bestial then anywhere else in the world. There are a few small villages and towns scattered here, although they are poor and rely on the forest for life, even though a place as dark as this seems that it can only hold death and secrets.
