Shin's lips curved into a small smile as he poured the glasses of wine and gentle set them on the table. Placing the wine into a small bucket of ice. Shin's bright blue eyes scanned the room for any last minutes preparations. The lights where dimmed, the candles on the table where lit, there roses where fragrant and bloomed beautiful, sitting in a crystal vase in the middle of the table, clothed in a elegant white, And the dish was sitting, hidden underneath a serving platter. Everything seemed perfect/; It might have been a bit too much for her, but such a great event needed a celebration. His love, Ayake, had just been named The Lord of the village, and it seemed things would start to turn around for the village.
Shin had sent a message to Ayake using a small homing Crow. It simply had a small scroll attached which read a location, a time, and signed with his name. He wasn't sure how much she preferred such a rather fancy dinner, but it couldn't hurt, right? Shin looked down, running his smooth hands over his suit, rubbing any white specs off the black jacket, adjusting his orange tie. Shin's long elegant, violet hair was tied up behind his head neatly like usual.
The male leaned against the wall and closed his crystal blue eyes. A smile remained on his lips as he thought about Ayake. She was perfect and meant so much to him. He was happy she had taken this role, though he knew it would stress her out and she would probably rather be on the battle field. She had such a passion for the people, there was no one better for the position in the village. And he wanted her to make sure she knew she had his full support.
The memories filled his mind, their first meeting, on a mission in which he saved her life, and she saved his. That important moment, began a beautiful friendship, which sprouted to something so much more. They both worked perfectly together, not only on the battle field, but in every day things. They where almost inseparable, but not your typical overly romantic couple either. They knew how to take space from each other.
As the memories faded he slowly opened his eyes once more, licking his lips lightly. He had nothing really planned for the night, just to celebrate with dinner. And to spend good time together. HE knew she was being flooded with work already, so he wanted to give her a chance to relax. As a gentle breeze blew through the window of his house, the flames of the candle flickered lightly. Though he had been with Ayake for quite some time now, things like this always made him nervous. He never wanted to mess up and make a fool of himself, but when with her, nothing else really mattered.

Ayake wasn’t one to love to dress up. In fact she tried her best to avoid it at all costs. She would much rather wear something comfortable than suit in some tight or showy dress. However, this was a very special occasion. It was going to be a beautiful night out. She was going to celebrate her new appointment as Ranpu Lord with her soon-to-be husband, Kurama. Yes. This was a very special occasion indeed. She was not only celebrating her appointment, but also the preparation emotionally for their joining. She would soon be renamed to Shin Ayake. She liked the sound that was for sure. She couldn’t wait for the preparations to be complete. She and Kurama had yet to discuss the wedding plans, and she hoped that they would do this tonight. Ayake wanted the colors to match around a white and teal or sky blue theme. She loved those colors. But, of course, it was up to the two of them; they would have to agree on something.
She could imagine Kurama in a light blue suit to match he beautiful hair that hung in his face so handsomely. Her gut was telling her to push forward with this marriage, but at the same time she was incredibly nervous about the entire thing. How would she react to seeing the scene? Ayake figured that half of Ranpugakure no Sato would be gathering around the wedding doors waiting for the newlywed couple to walk out with smiles stretched across their happy faces. The Kunoichi wasn’t so sure that she wanted that. Then again, she thought that the village had the right to see the inside life of the Ranpu Lord. Yes. They had the right. However, she hoped that Kurama would agree that the wedding would be closed to friends and family. Then again, she didn’t have any family here. None at all. Maybe an open wedding reception would be nice, now that she thought about it.
She looked in the mirror, summing up her looks in the reflection. She no longer knew who she was. It wasn’t very often that Ayake kept make-up on all day. She figured that should she be in battle, make-up was the last thing she would need. It was on the bottom of the priority list for the day. For that reason she usually just left it alone. Her body was, after all, flawless of scars, moles, and any other type of distraction from her dark, olive-toned skin.
Now was the time to head out to the restaurant that she was to meet Kurama at. Outside of the door two body guards in black suits met her. She held out her hand and politely rejected their assistance. Ayake was able to take care of herself. She headed there by foot. After all it was only a single block to the restaurant. There was no need for an escort. Through the glass walls of the restaurant she could see Kurama waiting there patiently at the table, there food had already arrived. She straightened her dress and walked in. The place was totally empty. She figured it would have been reserved. It made perfectly good sense. The Kunoichi walked gracefully to the table and took her seat, a smile showing bright on her face.

Kurama's heart was racing as it came time for Ayake to arrive. HE heard the door open. He spun on his heals quickly turning to face his love. His lips curved as he saw her walking towards him, He pulled out her seat for her, once she sat down and smiled he pushed her in. Seeing her beautiful face made the night perfect enough. He loved seeing her around, and having the restaurant to themselves was going to be perfect. It was obvious she was co-operating with him and the importance of this night, since she was actually dressing up. Looking down at her, a small pink blush crossed his cheeks.
He slowly walked around the table and sat down at his side. His crystal blue eyes peered over to Ayake. His lips smiling gentle. His hands closing against each other and setting them on the table. As he looked at her his lips opened as he spoke.
"Good evening, how are you doing dear?
His voice was gentle, yet bold. As he looked at her the waiter walked up beside them, and bowed, holding a menu in his hands with a pen in hand, speaking softly.
"Good evening, what may i start you two off with to drink? Or is the wine good enough?"
Kurama simply looked over at Ayake, letting her decide what she wanted to drink. He raised one of his hands up, brushing a few strands of hair out of his face.
