The darkness of the village hid her figure in its clutching shadows. This seemed to be the only time that Ayake could walk by her lonesome in the village without having to have the tight security that followed her around from place to place. It did not always seem to bother her, but right now the last thing she wanted was to be trailed after by armed people willing to risk their life on her behalf. No, right now she wanted to be alone. Alone. Alone. That’s exactly what she wanted. The quiet peace that the night supplied gave her the time to think and just relax in the cold grasp that it held on her eyes. She could see just fine, the few lamps that lit the pathway gave her plenty, and the shining moon up above gave her even more, but still her face was unseen in the blinded night.
She sighed, crossing her arms as she rubbed her shoulders to keep them warm. That was one thing that she hated the cold of the night. But still as she shivered she couldn’t help but be happy to be by herself for now. Then again, she knew that it would not be too much longer before her body guards would be running around the village in search for her. She wanted to enjoy this time while she could.
The Ranpu Lady stopped in her tracks and turned around, peaking at the lights that she had left on in her office many blocks away from where she now stood. She had kept them on simply to keep the others figuring that she was up there shifting through the countless papers that made their way into her office on a day to day basis. She didn’t mind the work, some of the time. But there were moments, she admitted, that she wished she could just go back to being a simple Jounin of high stature.
She thought of the former Ranpu Lord. How long had it been since he died? Not long, it seemed. However, it felt long enough for her to miss him. He was a strong man, and how he died was beyond her belief, much as it was for the rest of Ranpu. What now? Now that he is gone? What would they do? Move on? That seemed like it was all they could do, and she was now the person in charge of making that move.
Itachi... she whispered his name.

Shin made his way slowly through the halls of the Ranpu Lord's building, he had vanished for a while, he had some personal matter to attend to, leaving without telling anyone, except the Ranpu Lord herself Ayake. As Shin walked slowly down the hall, his long purple hair tied back and trailing behind him, he wondered how things have been for her, if she was alright, how she was fairing as the ranpu lord, but above all, Shin missed her, not only was Ayake the Lord of the village, but she was also the love of his life.
Shin finally arrived at the door to her office, his heart seemed to stop as he grabbed the handle, slowly twisting it and pushing the door open, only to find an empty office. The first impression was panic; but that quickly faded away as a small smile crossed his lips. He knew she was the type of person to need some alone time, and to sneak away. By the calmness of the village it didn't seem that anyone had found that she was gone yet. Shin silently shut the door behind him and walked through her office, sliding the window open and closing it behind him, befogging jumping off.
He wasn't exactly sure of where she would be, but he had a feeling she was still in the village, she didn't want to leave them endangered to anything. As shine looked around he jumped in the direction which seemed the most likely that she would follow, one that was darkly light, but at the same time close enough to others if she needed to be found.
Shin ran off in the direction, following the shadows, he had no reason to find her other than the fact that he missed her dearly. As He ran in the direction he picked up on her scent in the air, It wasn't strong. But since Shin had been so close to her for so long, he knew her scent anywhere. Following the scent, finally he came to the opening, his lips curling into a smile as he slowly walked up behind her. He figured she knew he was coming a while ago, as he walked up behind her he slowly wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to him. He remained silent, simply enjoying the feel of her in his arms again.

Ayake could hear the all familiar tap of steps coming up behind her. She knew those strides as they tapped on the ground. It was her soon-to-be-husband. Ayake stopped in her tracks, and a pair of warm arms wrapped around her. She instantly smiled, something that it seemed only Shin could accomplish. He was the love of her life, basically, in a nut-shell, her everything. She hugged back on his arms. Her bare arms automatically felt warm, and she was now in her very favorite comfort zone, in Shin’s arms. She turned around, keeping her hands in his. A smile showed towards him, her eyes twinkling slightly in what light the streets of Ranpu had provided the two lovers.
“You found me, now what?”
Ayake put her hands on top of his shoulders, gesturing that she would like to dance in the dark of the streets. She doubted that Shin would reject her irrefutable offer. She knew that he loved her, and Ayake loved him just as much. She hoped that he was the only one that would find her. He was the only person that she would take in to soothe her loneliness; he was the only would that could, anyway.
She could hear many more footsteps fading in from all directions. She gave a loud sigh before an even brighter smile crossed her flawless face. “This way!” she said, laughing slightly as she took his hand and drug him forward. She had a spot that she went to on nights like this, nights when loneliness was nothing more than a luxury being threatened to be taken away from her forever.
She drug him through the dark streets of Ranpu, turning corners after corners and stands after stands before coming to a halt at the edge of a wall of thick trees. She squeezed through the trucks that sat so closely together and waited, hoping he would follow.
“Don’t you trust me?” Ayake cocked her head, a slight curious smirk crossed her face.

Shin smiled softly as he felt her soft slender hands hug his arms back. His eyes looking down at her as she turned, her eyes sparkled in the moon and star light, Shin felt as if he could stare into her eyes forever. As she spoke, he couldn't help but to smile. He voice was smooth like velvet, her voice made him melt. As he arms moved to his shoulders and she silently invited him to dance his hands slowly slid down her body gently, his hands lovingly holding onto her hips.
Just As shin was about to begin to dance with her in the darkness, he also heard the footsteps scattering. Shin knew what was going through her mind as she sighed. He wanted to be alone with her, he didn't care where or what they did. He just wanted to be alone with her for a few moments.
Just then Ayake grabbed his hand and dragged him through the streets, taking turns and curves. A small laugh escaped his lips once more, he felt like he was a young boy running off from his parents or training with a girl he was simply taken in by. Shin loved this moment, simply running away to be with her.
When they arrived at the next point of their escaped he looked into the thick surrounding of trees. Shin smiled softly looking at her as she spoke once more, her voice still as soft as ever.
"Don't you Trust me?"
Her voice and few face matched, she was curious yet playful. This was a side of her he hadn't seen in a while, since she gained this position. He wanted her to be able to be herself. Trust's lips parted as he whispered lovingly to her.
"With my life..."
Once the words passed through his lips he smiled at her with a playful yet loving tone. He slowly slipped through the trees, his body was tall and slender, but he was quit as flexible as Ayake was. getting used to the tight spacing of the trees took a while as he followed her deeper into the brush of trees. He was curious, where was she taking him, what did she have in mind? Yet he didn't want the moment to end, It was what got Shin through every night away from her, the simply thoughts of spending time with Ayake. She was what gave him life.

Ayake’s face lit up like the sun that was nonexistent in the dark night sky. Her heart began to race. It was not because she had been running with Shin, no, that was not it. It was something different, something that could not be explained no matter how hard one would try to put it in words. What was it, one might ask? It was love. Love was a mysterious thing. Love is unrealistic. Love is irrational. Love is insane. Love is immeasurable. Love, as Ayake once thought, was a Genjutsu. She once believed that this crazy feeling was brought upon someone through the use of a hypnotizing jutsu, one that any man could put on a woman, and would have them tied around them as though they were a fish in a net. But now she knew that it was not true, that it never was true and never would be. She was not captured...she was free, as free as a bird. She was a love bird. Ayake and Shin. Shin and Ayake. Two birds of a feather. And this is what she wanted. All she wanted.
The woman felt as though her heart would pump out of her chest and land at her feet that, now, were trembling with her childish adrenalin. She felt alive and free whenever she was around this man. For what reason? For what reason did she love him so unconditionally? She may never know. But it was that urge for him that she ran off into the woods, him following right behind her as the two full grown adults raced through the trees as though they had been reborn into loving teenagers. This was the one moment she could truly be happy—with Shin.
Ayake laughed, and a slight giggle could echo through the forest just low enough that one would have to purposefully be listening to hear such a sound. The two of them raced through the brush until Ayake came to a very clearing. It was a beautiful place. The area was filled with flowers whose petals seemed to glow in the moonlight. A small lake sat to the side, and from it the stars were reflected in its surface. There was no sand, just soft grass and flowers, but still it was beautiful. The water was calm, unmoving which was unusual as the moon was full.
Ayake turned around, spinning girlishly under the moonlight and landed to face Shin. A smile crossed her face as she walked towards him, putting her arms on his shoulders. “Is this okay?” she asked, referring to the place.

Freedom.....It was priceless. Shin had spent unselling time running through tress, usually chasing or running from someone. But this time was different, this wasn't a mission for this village, this was just freedom. Having the time to be with the woman he loved, it was nice, to escape lie, let the village worry, and be alone, truly alone with the one person who could keep Shin sane, and happy.
As they came to the clearing shin's crystal blue eyes quickly scanned the area and a smile quickly spread across his lips. It was beautiful, everything about this place reminded him of Ayake. The calmness of the lake, the humble glowing of the flowers, even the softness of the grass. This place was perfect, as she asked if it was okay and spun, wrapping his arms around him he could only smile in response and look lovingly into her eyes.
Shin stepped closer, wrapping his arms around her waist. He gently pulled her closer, letting their bodies touch ever so gently in the embrace. Shin's breathing was soft and gentle, completely calmed. She always had this affect on him. Causing him to calm down and receive peace, even when he was the most distraught.
Looking into his lover's eyes he could simply stare for eternity and be happy. He would be happy to simply run away from everything and spend forever with her. But he knew that wasn't possible, so he wanted to take in every moment they had alone. Leaning closer to her, his breath gently brushing her lips before he gently pressed his lips to hers.
His eyes slowly closing. Her lips where warm and gentle, perfect. Feeling his lips touching hers, he felt as if he was closer and closer to being complete. In that moment, he could feel his heart seem to stop, and the world around them seemed to cease to exist. All there was to him, was her and himself.

As Shin took Ayake by the waist, she couldn’t help but smile. Smiles came so much easier when he was around it seemed. Even when a dark cloud covered her world, he would always be the wind that carried it away and brought out the sunshine in her life. And that gentle wind she could feel now, coming closer to her in an attempt to kiss her lightly. She too leaned forward; it didn’t take much because the two of them were holding each other so close. It felt like a fire was between the two of them. She could feel his warmth, and she knew that he could feel hers as well, a wildfire, one that took her breath away. Her heart stopped right then and there, first skipping a beat and then silencing her chest as their lips touch. She closed her eyes, taking her arms and wrapping them around his neck. This is what she lived for. Him.
Ayake continued to share the moment with Shin, the two of them so close that she felt a part of him altogether. Their hearts were close, their minds in sync. They both knew what they shared. That love that blended them together was inseparable. She hoped that the two of them would always be this close. She couldn’t wish for anything else. With their lips pressed, she could feel the unconditional love that they had for each other, and it was a sweet feeling. It was one that only years ago she had never known, and figured that she would have never known. But here he was, the love of her life, standing before her like some miracle. She put her fingers through his hair, wrapping her fingers on his neck and hugging him tightly.
It was then that she pulled away, looking at him through her golden, light brown eyes. The moonlight gave her enough to see his soft face, the one that she had grown to love and adore. His long hair brushed against her hand that still held his head in her. It felt so real. It was real. Real to her. Real to him. “Let’s get married.” She said with a sweet smile. She tried to seem patient, but the thought thrilled her so much that her next words burst out without thought. It was as though her sub-conscious had kicked in overdrive, and it had spoken with the words she knew but didn’t have the guts to say. “Tomorrow!” But then she thought. This was a little sudden...right? Maybe? But had they not waited long enough?

As the one slowly separated their kiss and became two once more he could do nothing but look into her golden eyes. His violet eyes looking deeply into hers. His breathing started again, slowly. The breath slowly passing though his lips to hers as he gazed into her eyes.
Still, the only thing in his world right now was her. Nothing else mattered, then his ears began to ring as he heard her beautiful voice once more. 'let's get married she said' It was cute, a side no one saw of her except for him. It was cute and romantic.
'of course we will get married' he thought but then the next words came from her mouth surprised him, causing his breathing to stop along with his heart. 'Tomorrow?.... Was that too sudden. both of them wanted to plan this out carefully, they didn't want to rush with Ayake getting her new position, but they did because they couldn't stand being apart. His mind was racing, thinking of what the best thing to do.
wether it was a true tactical thought, or if it was just his heart acting out of blind love. But then next words that came from his lips danced out in a fiery blaze, yet gentle like a cool spring wind.
"If that is what you wish my love, then Tomorrow We will become one..."
His lips curved to a small smile, he couldn't hold it back, he felt like a nerdy school boy getting a chance to be with the most popular girl around. And that's what he felt. He knew he was lucky to have someone like her, and he wanted nothing more than to join her in marriage, and so that's the way it would be. Tomorrow there would be a marriage in the Village of Ranpu. His heart began to race at the thought.
Shin pulled her into his arms and embraced her tightly, resting his head on her shoulders, he could smell her beautiful scent filling his senses. This, was perfect. Nothing else would make this moment any worse, it was only getting better from here.
