naito sen
Type of Weapon: Short-sword
Weapon Description: Hogosha literally translates to "protector". The creation of the weapon was specifically for that -- to protect the weak from potential life-threatening dangers. Originally fashioned by a mysterious figure whose name has not been mentioned, Naito Kouza made it with the sole purpose of protecting his little sister whose abilities lacked. The concept of the weapon was so that it was almost as though Kouza was there if ever Sen found herself in a tough situation; upon drawing the sword, Hogosha had the ability to protect against impending attack by using stored up energies -- chakras -- and creating a temporary barrier, or shield.
Hogosha was fashioned to look insignificant. The blade is of a dull silver -- but is highly reinforced in order to maintain strength and power -- with a slate-gray hilt devoid of any particular design save for a few lines with the practical use of hand grips. The holster that it is fastened in is specially creative to be sensitive to chakras. Just with the sword, it takes and stores chakras from the person who the sword is attached to.
Special Abilities: Full abilities are yet unknown to Sen; however, the weapon has proven to be able to create a barrier -- a shield-type wall that helps to protect her in trying situations. The sword and holster are sensitive to chakra, and therefore collect a minimum of 12 percent of the person's chakra when they are at a full, rested capacity. This is why the sword proves best to be only used when it has not been put to use it a while. The sword cannot, however, take chakra from another person. The sword is sensitive only to the person that it is attached to, resulting in only the user's chakra being taken, as opposed to anyone else.
It is activated simply by swinging the sword, as though in a defensive or aggressive way. After it has released its chakra, the sword still remain practical in the sense that it remains just as a weapon. However, until the person's chakra is at full capacity again the sword cannot collect any more chakra.
