So that was the boys plan? As he advanced, there was a split second where small sharp bones could be seen sprouting from the boy, severing eh sand bags and with the freedom of their burden he was able to increase his speed dramatically. A Kaguya, he should have known the boy would have incorporated his bloodline into the little squabble sooner or later. The trick was nice, but a one trick shot, and if used on someone not accustomed to speed, and kunai in hand, it would have been a deadly combination.
However just as there was no kuani in hand, Tou was no foreigner to speed. In fact as with many Taijutsu specialists, it was a huge part of his life. He saw the acceleration as it happened, and could adjust to it. The boy was fast, but he wasn’t nearly as fast as the Arashikage. He kept his motion, slamming his foot into the earth, maybe a bit faster then he was going to, causing even more of the earth to erupt in large chunks for many meters around at the impact. But he also used the downward motion to lower his body at fairly amazing speed. He was much taller then the boy, so to land his hit he would have to be low.
As the child would make contact, Tou would drop his elbow with blinding speed into the boys back, not only wrecking eh earth, but if hit, sending him straight to the ground to probably bounce around in the direction his momentum was carrying him. Controlling and toning down ones power when they were as powerful as Tou was difficult, and the hit would have most definitely broken and few bones of a normal person, and that was toned down. Theres only so far one can come from the ladder.
That is if the Kages hit connected, but he was fairly certain. After all what he did for years was focus on speed and even thought the boys burst had been impressive, his body was weak from his training, and a direct assault on the man you knew was one of the top Taijutsu experts in the world was not exactly the brightest things to do. Tou would be insulted if the boy walked away at least unscathed. But the smirk never faded, Tou was pleased the boy had a trick up his sleeve, and regardless would rise and turn to face the child once more. He was an impressive boy, holding great potential. Hopefully he wasn’t hurt to bad. ”That was well executed kid. Not to bad. Give yourself a pat on the back ehh.”
Sure a small joke, but whats life without it’s jokes?

A wall. That's what his opponent was. A wall that could not be broken. At least, not by Kuso. Not yet.
Despite the instantaneousness of his plan, Tou was able to anticipate his actions. He was able to gauge the boy's speed enough to react properly. The man could strike with perfect timing and precision. He was a Taijutsu master indeed. And Kuso knew the man couldn't be beaten by a mere Genin.
Tou's tremoring stomp shattered the earth, though its sudden shifting of stone beneath him did little to hinder his movements. His legs continued to swiftly dart his body towards the man's side.
However, the Kage had used the dropping of his leg to also drop himself, and it was too late for Kuso to do anything as he noticed this. A swing swinging elbow brought the boy down to the ground and sent him rolling several yards away. The bones of his ribs and spine rattled with the strike, but Kuso's own bones were naturally stronger than regular humans'.
They still ached from the attack, none the less.
Kuso remained still for a moment, before he rolled himself to his knees and pushed himself up. He was beyond exhausted now. Normally, the boy could bring up the tenacity to fight for over an hour and still have plenty of energy left, but the training took a toll on his strength and endurance.
His head was faced so he could stare down his opponent, or rather up if he were to retain his standing position once more. The boy felt the spines of bone retreating back into his body as he broke them down, and the tiny slits they made kneading back together nicely. A sigh brought forth a new realization.
The boy would have to use his it for this fight.
Even if it were just a spar, he wasn't going to half bake his performance and skill just for the sake of secrecy. Hell, as the Arashikage, Tou probably knew about his power as well. No reason to keep it hidden.
As he lowered himself into his accustomed stance, the man spoke words of acknowledgement of the Genin. Kuso smiled. He couldn't help it; he was loving this fight. It allowed him to go all out on an opponent and not have to risk possibly injuring them badly or killing them. This was far beyond sparring with Otosan.
"And you're pretty good yourself. You could've broken my back though..."
His chakra was kneaded through his unique skeleton as he quickly made his way back towards the Kage, his feet quickly navigating the shifted blocks that now made up the earth they stood upon. He wouldn't be as straight forward with his next attacks. No, he would have to be quick minded and quick bodied to land any real damage on this man.
If he were to get within a few feet of the shinobi, and if his opponent were to not make any actions between his departure and this time, Kuso would have stopped in his tracks to leap backwards, withdrawing and dispatching a kunai from his pouch at the man point blank. The blade would be aimed to dig into the middle of his lower abdomen. It would be a round about way of attacking, but it was how one must fight against a more powerful opponent.
Even if this man were a wall to Kuso, that didn't mean he couldn't keep trying to break it down. No, the Genin wasn't the giving up type. He wouldn't stop until he can prove himself to be powerful.

The boy took the hit well, and didn’t seem to be too hurt form the hit, although that was curious as well. Tou would have expected a normal person to suffer some broken bones. But then again, this boy had said Kaguya, which if memory served correct, his bones were special. This could turn even more interesting indeed. A true learning experience for the both of them.
Tou had faced a Kaguya once before, but that was long ago, and that man wasn’t very skilled. He had been apart of a group of men holding his heart hostage, and when he met them, he didn’t prolong the fight to learn of the man’s abilities, but rather ended the battle quickly to save the one he loved. Now it seemed, he had the chance to really learn first hand about the special bloodline from this child, if he were skilled at all. But that didn’t seem to be the case as of yet. He just seemed to be adept in Taijutsu, but he may yet hold a surprise or two.
He sprang towards Tou again, mostly unhindered by the mess the ground was in now. He adapted well, that was always a good thing in shinobi. But as the boy rushed, Tou’s expression changed to that of a fierce analyzer. The look was enough to invoke fear as he watched the genins approach, unmoving from his position. The genin stopped short and jumped back, and even as his hand flashed to his pouch, Tou knew generally what to expect. A smart tactic, but one that would not be without it’s flaws, especially when faced with a much faster opponent.
Judging form the speed of which he jumped back, as the boy released his kunai Tou vanished, using a body flicker. He appeared next to the boy, whom was still falling back to the earth, and attempted to grab him in a firm, and powerful grasp using his Aian Kurō technique. He would move swiftly, to grab the child face, and throw him with much more force then he had before, by the face, backwards into the truck of a very large tree. The hit, if this occurred would be enough to split the tree in half.
He might have let a little more force in this time, but he needed to stress the seriousness the boy had to come with when he challenge a much more powerful opponent. These little tricks were great for his own rank and perhaps even chunin… but not for a jonin, and certainly not for a kage. The boy would have to get serious, or suffer a beating.

Tou anticipated the boy's actions, and was able to dodge the flying kunai. This opponent was like no other he had ever faced before; to be able to dodge an airborne blade from just a few feet away completely, he definitely owned the title of Arashikage. There still was one question left to ask, though...
Where did he go?
When the man dodged, he had moved completely out of sight. By the time he saw the man standing by his side, it was too late. Tou clasped the boy by his face with his over-sized hand and, with one fluid motion, threw the boy towards a nearby tree. Kuso had to act fast, but he was still exhausted from his earlier training. It would be a photo finish.
As fast as he could, Kuso began to flow chakra to the bones of his body, hardening them to become stronger than steel. Were he to have more time, the boy would have attempted to perform the difficult task of spreading a bone mask beneath his skin to help stifle the power of the impact, but he was flying too fast.
In an explosive impact, the boy's body would have split the tree in half. His bones would have remained unharmed from the impact, but his flesh was sliced and torn from the grinding of himself against the splintered wood.
Kuso groaned at the pain, but managed to pull himself out of the wooden wreckage. He fell on his feet, stumbling as he did. A trail of blood flowed down his arm. He had suffered a nasty wound from the impact. He gave his opponent a glare of proud anger. The genin wouldn't be giving up.
He wasn't getting anywhere with this man with just his basic Taijutsu and plans. No, no he would have to utilize Shikotsumyaku with his next plan.
The boy placed a hand on his wound, feeling the skin meld itself back together. It was one his bloodline's ability; being able to regenerate flesh quite quickly. Chakra began to build in the fingertips of his left hand, as the flesh separated horizontally. With a quick upward flick of his wrist, five spiraling bones were launched toward at the Arashikage in a diagonal line, aimed to puncture him in his right thigh, chest, and upper left shoulder. His other hand would be kept back to counter what his opponent may do.

He was quick , and more importantly eh wasn’t giving up. Tou admired that with his slight smirk, almost in a taunting way even though that’s not how he intended it to come across. The tightness in the boys arm the moment before he moved gave way to his motion, but the curious bone projectiles that shot at Tou were fascinating. If they weren’t speeding towards him he would have loved to just wait to see what they’d do. But alas, The Arashikage wasn’t about to let his blood be spilled in a small spat, not even a real confrontation with a young child.
While the motion and attack was faster the Tou expected the boy to be capable of, it wasn’t beyond his incredible speed. Tou’s reaction time was fast, and through the use of his lighting coursing through his body on so many occasions, it had made his natural reactions faster then normal human beings. So moving quickly and within moments were not unknown to him. Quickly lifting his leg straight up in front of him, he slammed into the ground with astonishing speed. The mere motion of the leg raising and striking the ground caused a blast of wind and if you’d blinked, you would have surely missed the motion entirely.
But it wasn’t just the speed that was incredible, the strength and force accompanying it was amazing as well. The force of his Tsūtenkyaku was enough to shatter the earth around him and raise large chunks of the very ground before him up high enough to intercept the bone bullets and think enough to stop them form penetrating the rocks. The strike also destroyed the surrounding ground further, even reaching the boy once more and making his foundation unstable, rising like the waves in the ocean and cracking as if the earth were exploding.
If anything Tou knew how to make a “Impression” or ‘Impact”… But was soon as the earth rose, he vanished. The stones rising to block him and be his shields, would just as well hide him from view and he used the time to body flicker and appear moving next to and behind the boy in a magnificent display of speed and agility to traverse the broken and still rising earth in such a way. He’d say in a lone tone, rising to his height behind the boy, ”You did well son…”
Then he delivered a Raigyaku Suihei to the boys upper back, momentarily calling fourth his lightning armor around his hand and up his forearm. The strike would cause the kid a lot of pain and send him hurtling through the broken ground a few yards, probably shattering the earth much like his previous hits had only with his body. He’d be amazed if the boy was even conscious after the hit, but he was sure he would at least survive. ”…But not quiet good enough… yet.”
If the strike went all the way through Tou would simply wait, to see the boys reaction, maybe he’d even personally take him to the hospital. It was all in the way he reacted to the hit that’d make most men rethink their career choice… would this be the last day as a shinobi for the boy?

The Kage's actions were clever. He was definitely living up to his title today.
With a sudden smashing force, the lord was able to lower a selected portion of pressurized earth enough to dislodge several large slabs of earth. This would act as a makeshift shield to block the drilling bone bullets. The man was lucky with this action, as the thickness and hardness of the risen earth happened to be enough to stifle the bullets momentum, which was enough to pierce even steel.
The bones would still penetrate the earth, though their force would dwindle down to simply rolling out the other side of the wall stone, and falling to the ground quietly; harmless.
Kuso, however, assumed the worst, thinking his attack had been blocked. It was better than thinking the Kage had been hit by such an attack, and getting overconfident. He had to prepare, as his body began to sprout small bone spines. His stamina was almost out already, damn training. Still, he had enough energy to mold his bones into protective spines as he looked upon the cluster of earthen shapes.
”You did well son…”
He had heard, nor seen anything. It was almost impossible for this to have happened. The man had JUST brought forth a wall of earth before him. He couldn't have moved that fast without making any presence at all. He just...
Kuso didn't hear the rest of his sentence. Or rather, the Genin doesn't remember now. All he does recall is a sudden concentrated force slamming into the small of his back, launching the boy directly into the cluster of broken earth. That wouldn't be enough to stop him, however, as he would continue through the stone. He was grinding against the earth below, and was only stopped by a poor, unfortunate tree that was caught in the crossfire. The boy struck the organic structure with enough force to cause its roots to dislodge some, angling the entire trunk away from the boy.
His mind was blank. Pain overwhelmed him; actual, physical pain, which the boy hadn't experienced since he was a child.
He couldn't move, as he felt a blinding pain with each crackling movement. The boy's hardened bones were fractured from the powerful strike, and his energy was all but too empty to knead them back together. It took great concentration for the boy to even remain conscious.
Kuso lost. He found an opponent who was clearly above him, and challenged him boldly. The boy had no doubts in his abilities, and believed even someone like himself could beat this man, the Arashikage.
He was wrong.
But why was he still conscious? Why after the obvious gap between their powers being incredibly far, did the boy still use the last of his energy to stay awake? Why, as he lay on his belly, his body too broken to even move, did he glare at the Kage with triumphant eyes and a painful smirk?
Because.
He is the one with limitless potential.
He is the only one in his family gifted with the Shikotsumyaku.
He is the son of Shipuagkure's Ryutetsu.
He is Kaguya Kuso.
Just as the man had struck him with his sudden attack, the boy had sprouted his spines from the majority of his body that he had been forming. Though they were broken from the powerful impact, they still would have sliced the back attacker's hand, though not entirely deep at all due to the armor surrounding his limb. Just enough to draw a steady trickle of blood. This is, of course, were the man to continue his attack.
It wasn't a fatal cut. It wasn't even a cut a shinobi would acknowledge. But it was a strike none the less.
Kuso would balance his head on his chin, gifting the man with a goofy grin.
"I'm...still alive. Do I win?"

The smile that came to Tou’s expression was genuine and one that a proud father might have. However Tou was not this boys father, nor was he even his teacher, but he was just as proud none the less. This boy would indeed become a fine shinobi, and he was proud to have him apart of his village. The will to never consider in the face of defeat and overwhelming odds, yes. That’s what his shinobi needed, for the world always presented something that would stand against you. That something was often immeasurable in power and to overcome such a thing, they would all need the will this child possessed.
He clapped his hands together loudly and nodded at the boy. ”You did very well indeed my son! Keep it up, for just when you think you can defet any and all, another will always arise to prove you worng! IN this you will learn that it is not the measure of your power that causes you to win… but the measure of your heart and what you fight for. See yourself to recovery, and I may give you another lesson in the future young Kaguya.”
Tou took time for a small silence and his bright smile and proud expression to soak in on the boy before he flickered and was gone. Only a small plume of dust remained of his presence in the ruined landscape. Such destruction often follows power, but so does the seeds of the future.

Kuso listened quietly to the man's words as he lay in pain. Power didn't make you win...it was what you fight for? What did that mean? Kuso fights for power...doesn't that mean he's doing it right?
Well, whatever. The point is, Kuso didn't hear him say no to his earlier question. That was all he needed.
It took the boy a moment to realize that the Kage had left him. He left the boy, whose bones were now cracked and fractured in multiple parts of his body, in the middle of an open area, and expected him to find his own help.
What!?
"Hey! Wait! What the hell, ne?! I can't even move! You can't jus- and you're already gone."
The boy grumbled quietly to himself. It looks like it was time for some chin exercises. With a wince, the boy extended his jaw outward, digging it as hard as he could into the earth, before shoveling his body the few inches away it was from the place his chin was planted.
He would have to drag himself like this for the next mile or so to the hospital for some treatment.
Stingy, lazy Arashikage...
