The world was going crazy. Or so Yuu thought as he walked down the road past some local business. From within he could hear shouts of arguments. Just before a shop keeper came out in a fury, a pained and worried look in his eyes before a bald man came out looking smug. Looking forward Yuu didn’t think anything about it. He had a call that a package was awaiting him and that was more important then his little urges.
He finally arrived at a home within the section of the village reserved fro the Uchiha clan. Yup, the clan was held in such a high regard they in fact had a special portion of the village dedicated to them. Yuu’s family home was here as well as when he became a shinobi he was grifted with an apartment here. Leaving his shoes in the small area at the door, he stepped up onto the raised wooden floor and retrieved the scroll awaiting him on a wooden table.
Shinobi had special ways of getting orders and messages, he didn’t question it and took the scroll to the window that remained open. Sitting on the window sill of his 5th floor apartment he’d read the contents of the message. He read it three times before moving swiftly form the window. He had no time for rest in a time like this. Something so serious… he had to get to the bottom of it right away. Once his shoes were own he was out the window….

Yuu had some very serious and dangerous missions in the past, especially these past few. But this one he’d consider even more dangerous then those where his life had been on the line. But for this one, his very village could be on the line. A man had been unsettling local businesses, and that was the understood situation. Bu the deeper fear and realization was that he was actually stealing secrets and possibly selling them.
What was worse, he could be the first part of a much larger picture. A possible attack on the village who’s first step would be to unsettle the village and weaken it at the citizen level. The possibilities were enough to force Yuu to take it seriously. He knew exactly where to look first. His gut was telling him the shop keeper from earlier had a clue that’d help him find this man supposedly posing as a shinobi.
He got back to the little shop in time enough, stepping in to find the man closing shop. Why would eh be closing in the middle of the day? Walking in Yuu spoke to the man who was busy behind a counter. After a bit of pushing, he spilled the story. The Bald man from earlier, he went by the name of Gin Shita and was strong arming him and many other shops to pay him for protection of their shop and if they refused he would make their life hell, damn near forcing them t close their shops. He’d apparently kidnapped one man’s family, and another he is believed to have killed.
He walks in, lays down his demands and if his crafty, venomous, words don’t work, he flashes a Ranpu headband worn by the shinobi, and adds a word of threating tone. Then if his demands aren’t met he comes back and that’s when it starts to get bad. Yuu only asked him where this man might be and the shop keeper gave him a shaky answer, ”Maybe a few blocks away, at the market owned by the Yanaka’s. But you won’t tell him I told you anything ill you?!”
Fear was clear in his voice and Yuu reassured him as he walk out, back onto the streets and vanished form sight. He was moving fast across the rooftops to the little market shop. As he hit the ground almost soundlessly outside, he heard it. More shouting and fighting, just like before, this time the fear was more clear in the angry older women’s voice. Yuu walked in calmly, his expression the normal bored and tired look he was known for. The short older women was the shop keeper, apparently screaming at the bald man, he wasn’t incredibly tall, maybe 6 foot even, but he looked as smug as before, a katana tucked in his belt and a kunai holster on his left leg. When Yuu walked in silence hit the air like a truck and all eyes turned to the lazy looking young man.
”I’ll take it form here ma’am. Would you mind giving us some privacy.”
Most would think it was a request or question. But with the boys tone it was certainly not. Although his expression was lazy, his arms hung loosely at his sides and his gaze was fixed on the bald man. The women bowed and hustled away tot eh back room. Now alone, silence sat between them a moment. Yuu wondered how best to go about this situation. Would he run, fight, try to talk his way out of this?
"Gin Shita... We need to talk."

Gin’s face held a half smile, a smirk reflecting his usually crafty self. As he stood at the counter, his armed resting on it as he leaned forward, his face in a older woman’s who looked to be the owner of the shop. It hadn’t been more than ten minutes and he was already at his next stop in an attempt to rob a local business. The last hadn’t gone exactly how he had planned. Sure, the old man did give Gin enough to let the man keep is worthless life, but he still hadn’t had enough; he wasn't satisfied. As he stood there his sharp pointed eyes glared at the woman, his teeth showing in their crooked smile. ”Didn't you say you’d have the money for me last week?” his face grew sad, but it only showed that he was mocking the woman. ”Aw, come now, where is it then?” he said, pity in his voice. He raised his hand and stroked the side of the woman’s face. ”A pretty young face like yours doesn’t need any scars now does it?” The old woman flinched.
He slapped her face slightly.”I don’t have the money yet, now leave my shop!” she yelled, backing up behind the counter. Anger filled his eyes. He had mocked her enough. A chill ran down his back. He had mocked her for her old age and apparently that form of flattery didn’t work. He felt disgusted for even doing that much flattering. ”Well, well, that’s just too bad then,” Gin’s hand reached for his sword as he pushed off the counter. It was then that the bell rang and another man, perhaps around his age, entered the store. Gin gave a loud sigh, removing his hand from his sword holster. His eyes narrowed as the woman bowed and left, then he gave a slight chuckle. He shrugged his arms. ”Man, oh man, way to ruin a good deal. How can I help you, officer?” sarcasm filled his tone, but he was clearly angry at the disturbance.

Holding his lazy eyed gaze, unblinking on the man, Yuu assessed him. Maybe a bit taller then himself, similar builds, slim and athletic. But what this man did not seem to have, was any scars that a normal shinobi would sport. Not so much battle wounds, but he noticed as he removed his hand from his sword when he first entered, his knuckles were free of blemish. A regular shinobi, even if having no skill in Taijutsu would have scars form the academy training. Punching logs does that to you.
Yuu never blinked, but simply took in his smug expression. After a moment of silence, Yuu spoke in a simple, matter-o-fact tone,
”Help me? No. But you can help yourself. I know what you’ve done and I’m here to put it to and end. So your going to have to come with me. The easy way, or…”
He paused momentarily, his eyes never wavering or blinking as he looked into the man’s very soul through his eyes. He was a capable shinobi, and if worse came to worse, he’d force this man to do his will. So after a pause leaving the man enough time to process that he’d been discovered, he spoke again in the same tone, matter-o-fact, but this time with a hint of more authority.
”Or the hard way. It’s really up to you how, but have no doubt you will not get passed me, and your little charade is over. What will it be Gin?”

Gin smirked, shifting his weight to one leg, resting his hand on the holster that hung on his waist. He gave a smug look, staring at the boy that stood before him. He hated it when people got in his way. Even more so, the shinobi also cost him the money he was going to force out of the lady behind the counter. He gave a sigh and held a grip on his holster. He knew that a fight would break out soon, and he honestly just did not feel like beating anyone up and the present time. He wanted his money and he wanted it now. He laughed a little to himself, thinking about mugging this guy for every cent he had to his name. That would be ironic. Here the boy was trying to stop him from stealing, trying to get rid of him and then he would end up half dead and without a cent to his name. Perhaps that plan he would bring into action—sounded like fun to him.
“Come on. I have a kid at home!” It was a blatant lie. Gin was a little young for the father bluff. He was only eighteen. From the back a voice sounded out, “You liar! You have no kids! No one would spawn with the devil!” Gin couldn’t help but laugh, but his hot-headed-self kicked in. “Shut up you old sag bag.” He almost thought about running in the back and slicing her to bits. However, his opponent was the boy. He cocked his head, summing up the man’s small figure.
Gin’s mouth cracked to a half smile, his white teeth showing back at the Chuunin. It was obvious that the boy wasn’t playing around. He meant business. Gin wasn’t really a shinobi, but he did have skills. Many found it strange that he didn’t have the scars and bruises that come with the occupation of a ninja. He didn’t mind though, he was just as strong as any ninja could be so not having a title on his name didn’t bother the man. “Look, I’ll be honest here: I don’t play well with others. So why don’t you do yourself a favor and get the hell out of my way. If you don’t, I could always just beat you an inch from your life. How’s that sound?” he smiled again, taking his thumb and unsheathing his blade a slight bit before taking his other hand and pulling it out completely.
“Come and get it, brat.”

The man was as cocky as if he were bragging about his abilities to a small child, and Yuu, if he didn’t have his bored or even sleepy expression plastered across his face, might even be a little pissed at his arrogance. But as the man drew his sword and prepared to speak again Yuu Moved. With blinding speed, he drew a Kunai and intercepted the blade as the man brought it down to set it pointed towards the shinobi.
The movement would have been completely out of the blue, a stand still to a flash appearing before him blocking the blade with a kunai. Not an attack, but a move that showed this was no game and absolutely no time for this man’s trickery. Plus Yuu wanted to try to wipe that stupid cocky simple off his damn face.
”I’d like to see you try and beat me at all…”
His tone, even though he was pushing against the blade of the sword with some force, was even and low, as the sleepy eye’d look never faded and stared into the man’s soul though his eyes. A look of pure boredom in the face of battle that had unnerved many before this opponent. Some even called him the Lazy Eyed uchiha, but nothing about Yuu was lazy, that was for sure. Holding the gaze for just a moment, as the man moved next or after a moment, Yuu would push with his body behind it, the blade towards the counter, and the window behind it, and try to follow his body momentum with a side kick to the man’s upper arm, hoping to send him over the counter and possibly through the window.
Yuu wasn’t really skilled in Taijutsu, but he knew what the basic shinobi did, and judging by the lack of Taijutsu marks on the man he was fighting, he knew more then him. That was the gamble at least, time to see if his perceptive abilities were on point as they should have been.

Gin suddenly felt a strong force pressing against his blade. His naturally pointed eyes blinked once, twice, as he adjusted to the sudden change of vision. The boy was standing right in front of him. He had a kunai blocking Gin’s blade with a force strong enough for him to not push the tip of his blade any further down. The bald headed man gripped the hilt of his sword, pushing it in such a way that the tip of the blade would be forced down. However, it was futile. The sword wouldn’t go down with the force that the boy was pushing on his blade with the kunai in his hand. Gin clicked his mouth. “Tsch.”
Gin jumped back a little, nearly running into the shelves that lined the back of the store. He was pretty much cornered in the store, and he knew he needed to get out of this crowded building so he could have an even chance to fight back. The other kid was fast, and it could prove to be a big problem. Gin wasn’t used to fighting someone this fast. He would have to adapt, and he would have to adapt very quickly or he wouldn’t even have one small chance of winning this battle.
The boy stayed at him with lazy eyes. Gin felt as though he was being mocked. Was the other boy staring at him with a bored expression just to piss him off? That’s exactly what it seemed like. Gin felt like knocking every last tooth out of the boy. Whatever the purpose of that blank expression, it was working in that it was making the blood boil inside the young ninja.
“Hmph.” Gin put away his sword and lifted his hands to make hand signs. After forming many signs, the boy lifted one hand to his mouth with a small opening in the fingers that sat on his lips. In his mind he repeated the familiar name of the jutsu. “Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!” From his mouth a large ball of fire burst towards the other man at a high speed. Gin knew that the boy could probably easily dodge the blow, but it was simply a diversion so he could get out of the building. Anyone who had seen this jutsu before could tell that it was a good size for a Fireball Jutsu. However, it was obvious that it was nowhere near as large as someone from the Uchiha clan could create. It was their specialty, and no one could mock their abilities in that Katon jutsu.
The first spread almost instantly, engulfing the store into giant flames. The old woman screamed in the back and the dark smoke filled the atmosphere in the closed space. The boy would have no choice but to go back and rescue the lady. Gin made his escape out of the building and waited for his worthy opponent to meet up with him.

To avoid Yuu’s second attack, or even before Yuu really threw it, the bald man jumped back. It would seem the little fight was too much for the man to take on directly like that. NO problem, at least Yuu knew if he needed to get close, he’d have the upper hand. Like he really worried, if anything did go wrong he had his clans power to fall back on…
Dammit! There he went again relying on his clans power instead of his own… even if it was in his own head. Yuu’s expression never faltered however and as the man began to put away his sword, Yuu saw an opportunity. Throwing the kuani and then rapidly following it with a barrage of 8 shuriken. The shuriken were not really aimed at the man, but more so around him, close enough to force his arms in so they were not cut, but wide enough spread so that if he were to try to dodge in this narrow store, he’d surely be cut.
Of course, as an expert with shuriken jutsu, this was a simple task, and hidden in the dim light of the store, were the wires attached to the blades. Following the motion of the throw he brought his hands to his face and began forming hand signs even as the other man would start his own. Now, the difference here was that Yuu was a real shinobi, unlike this man. His hand signs would be done a bit faster then his in theory. Completing his hand signs he exhaled onto his hands and the wires, and as he saw a ball of flame erupt from the man’s mouth, of adequate size… but Yuu cold do better. Fire would race along the wires on either side of the man witht eh use of the Dragon Fire Technique, trapping him in if done correctly.
The fire would go around the incoming fire ball, and deliver a blast not only of force to him but also to the wooden wall behind him, hopefully blowing him into the ally with force. While Yuu would immediately dive into a roll to dodge the incoming fire ball, and find his clothes a bit singed and smoking.. Best not to tempt fate anymore.
The women screamed form the back, as she was driven to do by her store now in flames. But she wasn’t his concern, and a shinobi puts the mission first… what a load of bull. He knew she had a back door to the store, and would have no problem getting out. He ran and leapt threw a window that survived the explosions, to dive out, landing in a tuck and roll to one knee to face where his enemy should have landed moments before. The whole duel of fire should have taken no more then a few seconds if you were watching and with so much happening so fast, Yuu, a trained shinobi had his heart racing… he could only imagine what an untrained man would be feeling at a time like this, as Yuu drew another kunai from his holster, readying himself for an attack as his eyes searched fro his target.

Gin watched as a handful of blade flew towards him. Their speed was a lot faster than normal. In fact, he had never seen anyone else so skilled with the use of shuriken. It was obviously one of the other boy’s strong points. The bald man wasn’t surprised. A majority of the village shinobi was specialized in one or more things, and he didn’t expect this boy to be an exception. Then again he seemed young, just as young as he was. Then again, Gin wasn’t truly a shinobi, now was he? He was obviously much weaker than the opponent that now stood before him.
Before Gin could even finish his strings the kunai were nearing him, but he managed to dodge them but jumping to the sign as he finished his hand signs. He watched as the other boy managed to finish his own before him. “Damnit!” Gin forced the rest of them out and the two boys’ flames threw at each. The force of the Chuunin’s fire had greatly surpassed Gin’s and he was sent flying. He hit the back wall, nearly knocking him out, but he managed to stay conscious. He quickly leapt to his feet and escaped the now burning building and waited outside for the other boy.
A mixture of anger and fear flooded the man as the other boy escaped just after him. He huffed and tried to catch air. The smoke in the building had filled his lungs and had made him somewhat lightheaded from the lack of oxygen. He would be alright though. Gin clutched his chest which had been charred from the fire that the boy had sent to him from the wires. He could feel his heart pumping so hard he thought it would burst out of his chest and land at his trembling feet. He was not trained for this sort of hard combat...He was good. Very good. But that didn’t matter. Gin was determined to defeat this lazy-eyed brat.
Hmph. This was getting old very quickly. Now, Gin was very curious. “Boy...What’s your name?” He gave a half cracked smile as he stared back at his worthy enemy from the streets. Gin took his arm and placed it under his robe, removing it and letting it hang from his waist. He was burnt, and he hated how the cloth stuck to his wound.

Luckily as his eyes settled on his target, Yuu was comforted with the fact that he didn’t run. It sure would have been a hassle if he had to case him down. As his hand tightened around the fresh kunai in his right hand, he listened and watched as the man removed burnt and charred clothing and allowed it to hang around his waist. It seemed his counter had been perfect, and now they were in an ally between tow wooden building, each about 2 to 3 stories high.
This would be the perfect time to finish the man. He asked his name… normally, Yuu would have no problem giving it out, but for now this man had already caused him enough trouble so he was done with these formalities.
”huh, You should just think of me as your worse nightmare. “
As he finished his sentence he jumped to the side, drawing and throwing 2 kunai form his left at the man’s head. They’d either hit or hit the wall above and a bit behind him. While they could be deadly, they were the diversion as Yuu charged at the bald man with his kunai ready to block or attack. How would the man react to a second direct assult and how well could he plan for what he could not expect?

Gin narrowed his eyes. This boy obviously did not have very good manners. He spoke, a small laugh escaping his mouth before he did so. “Well, now. That’s not very nice.” Gin shrugged his shoulders is disapproval. “You’re supposed to introduce yourself to others before you try to kill them. Let me start then. I’m Gin Shita.” He frowned as the Chuunin threw two kunai at his head. The bald man easily dodged the two kunai, even though they were traveling fast, apparently due to the boy’s gift in shuriken techniques. He would have to react quickly from now on, so he kept his eyes open and his feet ready for action.
Gin clapped his hands, not noticing the explosion tags attached to the two kunai that were now planted on the wooden wall behind him. “Bravo, bravo. Your shuriken techniques are great and all, but you’ll have to do better than that.” Gin smirked as the boy charged toward him, a kunai stuck in his hand. Come and get it, brat! he said to himself, his all familiar voice echoing through his head.
As the boy neared him, Gin was already making his hand signs as fast as he could manage. They were going faster at this time as his heart was racing with the heat of the battle, and his adrenalin was surging through him like poison. A burst of fire in the shape of a dragon shot towards the lazy-eyed Chuunin, ever so fast in its speed. Gin could now manipulate the fire to follow the boy whichever way he swerved. He wasn’t going to dodge this move.

It seemed he had underestimated the man a little, for he had dodged the kunai with great ease. I guess Yuu had to give him some credit. But then the sight of hand signs were clear to him, and he immediately knew he was running head long and would not make it to the man before he could compete a set of signs. This could be very dangerous indeed, but he immediately thought of a moderately solid plan. Reaching behind him as he raced ahead, the man let roar a huge fire blast in the shape of a dragon! Just as Yuu threw 3 shuriken attached to wire, the blades were fast, faster then most shinobi could throw and faster still then the blades he’d been throwing thus far.
They struck the wall to his side, high, and as the fire dragon raced for him, Yuu slammed on the brakes.. so to speak, and pulled hard. This tugged his body, mixing in a jump, off the ground and up to the side of the building. But this left him vulnerable… as he traveled in the air to the wall dodging the fire. He also added his surprise card. He had hoped to use it later but it seemed now would be the moment they’d be needed. Making a hand sign as his feet left the ground, he whispered a word, probably unbearable over the roar of the rushing flame. But it was enough to trigger the exploding tags on the kunai he had thrown previously. The explosion wouldn’t do much in terms of damage to the bald man. But it’d distract him form his attack, and it also destroyed the side of the building, well a section of it.
The burning and charred rubble of wood would rain down on the man and potentially injury him in a minor way, but mainly hopefully it’d distract him form the jutsu or further jutsu he had planned and allow Yuu to regain his footing in the battle. He’d hit the wall, above and channel chakra to his feet effortlessly, as if it were second nature… because it was for the chunin.
Yuu would stand straight up and look down, blinking momentarily to awaken his Sharingan. He wasn’t gonna be surprised by an attack meant to catch him off guard. He only lost contact with the man during his very short blink and if he had been covered by falling debris, otherwise the game would now raise to a whole knew level, as the two tomoe Sharingan watched the man like a hawk. The way was standing off the wall, would case his hair and clothes to be pulled to the ground, and his back to the sky as he faced the ground, jutting off the wall in an odd fashion for a human being. But a ninja could walk on walls, their very power was to defy common sense. It was time this imposter nin found out what a shinobi elite was capable of.
