| Dance of the Snake |
A highly unique style of Taijutsu and martial fighting that relies solely of discipline to right the unending chaos of the world, the Hebi no Mai or Dance of the Snake is based on the movement of the reptilian cobra. By nature, the cobra is sadistic in it's quest for sustenance, using psychology to paralyse their foe in terror, simply from a glare.
The principles of this style require direct eye contact, a feat that is very hard to master in the middle of combat, however if enough focus is used by the practitioner, this style is highly beneficial. The user is able to hold the target in a transfixing stare, capable of extending an aura of control and power over the target. This style does, however, require great flexibility and freedom of movement, so it is best if the practitioner is wearing less bulky clothing.
It's opening stance is as follows, right foot in from of left, leaning as low as possible to the ground until your right leg is straight and your left is hidden below your abdomen, before lifting your hands up and out in a manner similar to wings. While this may seem strange, it represents the cobra's desire to be taller and more powerful to assert dominance and it's envy of the birds in the sky. The practitioner will then proceed to strike out in a fighting style where only counter attacks are plausible, however if the target is refusing to make a move, the user can swing their right leg round in a circle until it's behind them and pounce using their built-up power in the left leg, striking at the target's throat or legs, attacking veins or in the case of a Hyuuga practitioner, tenketsu.
Please note that all techniques are exclusive to Hyuuga Mio unless she teaches those who wish to learn it IC.
Name: Soren Dokueki | Twin Venom
Rank: C
Type: Taijutsu
Element: -none
Description:
Using the style's principle of counter-striking, the practitioner will dodge a kick or punch by a target, jabbing once with two fingers at either a tenketsu in the case of Hyuuga practitioners or a tendon to lock the arm in place. They will then proceed to sweep the target's legs and before they can react, jab again with two fingers at the target's diaphragm, shutting off a tenketsu or causing internal damage to the sternum.

Name: Gekitenrai | Strike Thunder
Rank: C
Type: Taijutsu
Element: -none
Description:
By forcing direct eye contact with the target, they will instinctively find themselves unable to look away out of natural human curiosity, a feat which this fighting style preys upon. While in direct eye contact, the target becomes slightly transfixed and attempts to subtly copy the practitioners movement out of instinct, meaning that if the practitioner turns their head, the target will also turn their head, as long as it does not break eye contact. However, any sudden movement by the practitioner ends the entrancing gaze, as the human mind reacts to the new set of stimuli. This techniques uses are limited, however it can in some cases make the target absolutely terrified, due to the intensity of the practitioner's gaze, so much so that they become easier to predict and start making mistakes they normally would not in battle.
Name: Shuittou | Final Stroke
Rank: B
Type: Taijutsu
Element: -none
Description:
The ultimate technique of the Hebi no Mai, the user combines the use of psychology, physical power and flexibility to destroy their target. Similar to the Gekitenrai, the user will entrance their opponent in a stare, keeping them held in place by their own fear and will, before changing from the opening stance to the extremely risky final stance.
The user stands on one leg, with the other tucked to their abdomen, standing as tall as possible and remembering to keep eye contact. They will then lift one hand up behind their head, like a tail or sting and then the other is kept close to the side, curled to resemble a crouching snake ready to pounce.
After the stance is ready and the stare has either been broken or ended, the target's first instinct is to charge in full-force, while the practitioner dodges by spinning back, before performing a back somersault and kicking the opponent hard on the cranium with enough strength to slam them into the ground, leaving a sizeable crater. The speed and technique of this counter-attack is virtually impossible to dodge if performed correctly, but it also puts a lot of strain on the practitioner's muscles to have to flip and strike with enough power.
